LWHF-160 antenna
I planned to start with a long wire antenna, as I didn't want to begin a more serious antenna
construction project late in the autumn; it seemed like the quickest solution to get started. I was able to operate
on the 40m, 20m, 15m, 12m, and 10m bands, but the radio could not tune it for the 80m band. I failed to raise it
to a sufficient height.
December 2024
EFHW antenna
I wanted to be active on the 80m band as well, so I replaced the LWHF with an EFHW antenna, using a 1:49 unun
and 40m of stranded copper wire. With this, I could operate on 80m without problems, making the classic shortwave
amateur band accessible.

Xiegu VG4
My first task in the spring was to implement the GP (Ground Plane) antenna, which met my expectations.
Dipole, inverted-V
The previous wire antenna did not perform well on the 40m band, so I decided to build a dipole. I successfully
constructed a multi-band dipole antenna tuned for the 80m, 40m, 20m, 12m, and 10m bands. The wires are
joined and connected to a 1:1 balun. The feed point height is 11 meters, with the ends of the two legs at a height
of 5 meters, forming an Inverted-V configuration.
